Being a poet

Its no pain

to be ignored,

to be unsung,

to be unread.

If you are poet and have true passion

for the melody of joys and sorrows

You know how to swallow them.

That why you are a poet

not a fiction writer.

I chew every sighs and winks well,

And digesting everyday.

And YOU ??

Being a poet is about finding beauty in the ordinary, about making sense of trauma heartache and all in between x

I basically write for myself. If others like it fine. If not, still fine. Or that's what I try to convince myself.....

Yes, we all do. Keep writing for yourself and few who read you. It's a good feeling when someone understands our work and can truly see beyond those words. Keep going.

Great! Being a poet is not about adulation or ego-stroking. Most important is telling your stories and getting them out of your head. If they connect, they connect.
