'Words' is an important part of the Frome Festival which takes place 9-18th July.

A tantalising array of literary events and activities on offer for this 10th anniversary year, combining well-known names with a showcase of local talent.  The theme is creative diversity, and you’ll find a scintillating mix of workshops, performances, talks, walks, and contests to entertain, inform, and inspire you.

One of the highlights will be an 'Arab evening' of words, music and delectable eastern dishes. Whilst throughout the festival the 'soap box poets' will be giving impromptu readings.

There's also a short story competition which is open for entries until the 31st May.
