Donald Trump wants the USA open by Easter
Because the economy is more important
Than a silly virus
Argument 1:
“We lose 1,000's and 1,000's of people a year to flu”
“We don't turn the country off”
Argument 2:
“We lose much more than that
To automobile accidents”
“We didn't call up the automobile companies to say
'Stop making cars. We don't want any cars anymore' ”
I'm surprised he didn't use his most compelling argument
We lose 1,000's to gun deaths each year
And it continues to rise
And we don't place restrictions on their availability
It's just a way of life
Get over it and move on

America has a federal and a state system - with local mayors able
to exercise powers in their cities and towns. During the 1918/19
Spanish flu pandemic, the mayor of Philadelphia opted not to
take measures that the mayor of another city took. Result - the death toll in the first mentioned city was many times greater than in the latter.
Reality check - the UK death toll was reported to be 228,000 as a
result of that pandemic and the worldwide figure assessed at around 50 million; some say more due to political/military restrictions on
reporting its effects across the world.
