Dedication

To save the lives of others is the best thing in the world,

A day in the life as a doctor fighting the virus I have unfurled.

At  7 o'clock in the morning I pack my sleeping bag and clothes,

Whether I will be back  tonight to see my family who knows?

I arrive at the hospital after a 10 mile drive,

I check my first patient hopefully he will survive.

I check his venilator and all  seems to be well,

Change his position and his pressure sores quell.

I speak to his family on the phone,

As he lies breathless and alone.

Your grandad is sick and might die,

But to get him back to you we will all try.

I spend the day treating many who are critically ill,

My wife calls me a body with a phone attached ,with a strong will.

We sleep in separate rooms,I've been next to viruses all day,

But our dedication to defeating coronavirus hopefully will pay.
