Happy Mother's Day to the one 
that I call Mam. You carried me for
9 months then put me in my pram. 

You took me to the doctor when I 
had measles or the flu, 
you kept me safe as best you could. 
You knew just what to do. 

Thanks for taking care of me 
when I was sick upstairs in bed. 
Thank you for the crayons and books 
and making sure that I was fed. 

Now that I am older, I appreciate 
all the good that you have done. 
Thank you for the life you gave me.
It's been hard but also fun.
