Tudor Christmas

It was good last night.

Nice to hear and meet people.

Agreed. Shame I had to leave early to pick up our Gert from York. Enjoyed all the show but particularly your spot, Jeff's Christmas rant, and Steve's Baby Bobby. Also impressed by Laura's debut.
Now that I've been twice, Dec last year and Dec this year, does this make me regular? or will I have to continue with the All_Bran?

Yes it was a good night. Great to be able to have a drink for once - and catching the late night bus out of Wigan was an experience in itself that may just prompt some creative writings!!!! Jeff was right when he said that it was a very attentive crowd. Hard to pick favourite moments tho cos there were so many diverse highlights.

Yes - it was a great night! I finally got to hear the end of Nat Clare's Sex Bag poem - I don't think he was allowed to finish it at the Green Room - the whistle went and it was such hilarious stuff.
I was very sorry to miss Mel Rees's spot - she is a brilliant poet - me being one of the irreverent few who got caught up chatting at the bar...

Would agree that Laura's debut was superb - definitely one to watch!

For those who stayed to the bitter end, Elvis revisited us and what a super performance he gave - well worth staying on for!

Well done for bringing a camera Paul - the photos are great. x

What an ace night that was! Despite being psychologically terrified by the STAGE (they didn't have one in Bolton heh), I managed to get through both my pieces without dying of fright, and some people even LIKED them heh ;D. Totally enjoyed everyone's pomes, and my faves were Dave B, Jeff, John Coopey, Stephen Mellor, Suzy M, Joy, Melanie R, Chris C, in fact, you know what? EVERYONE was great!

And erm, sorry for stealing your thunder, Paul ;)

(yay, am famous now!)

Oh, and poor Elv! Stupid cd player! Good job we were there to sing and dance in a ridiculous fashion and distract people ;D Nearly cracked up laughing when he kicked his wig off the stage :D

Thanks for posting the photos in the gallery btw. I'm hopeless with names - it's helped me match faces & poems up with names. Cheers.

Ann, you are not seriously thinking of moving to Wigan from Cornwall?

And what pray is wrong with Wigan? It is a very happening place, I might tell you. What can you do in Cornwall, once you've taken a few walks and watched the sea coming in and out?

<What can you do in Cornwall, once you've taken a few walks and watched the sea coming in and out?>

Pop onto the site and perhaps post a poem pertaining to pasties and pastoral perambulations, rather than pies, piers and peppermint sweets.

Balls! I'm sure you meant Uncle Joe's mint balls Julian.
