How nice it must be not to worry
The trembling fear of what’s coming next has consumed me

Undercover
she graced the world with her smile
and hid her tears all the while
she wiped her eyes and inhaled deep
her mind not stopping when she went to sleep
her soul soothed others, to numb her own pain
her thoughts a circus inside her brain
in the eyes of others, she seemed real strong
but amongst the happy faces, she didnt belong
her thoughts wandered on to dangerous places

She was absolutely terrified of heartbreak,
but she'd wake up every morning...
drowning in love
too afraid to push off the bottom.
