Assad fodder

They,are the people dying

on dead streets.

Soon,they will be the people

that were.

Yet innocent,in every meaning of the word.

But they have become

our guilt.

Because,we didn't listen

because,we allowed ourselves

to be collectively,selectively

bejewelled monarch

entry picture

Deeply within,am I struck!

watching the shimmering flight,

of this gaudy projectile,iridescent diver,

speed fishing, flashing by O! so majestically!

No sooner,returned to perch

on the wispiest of branches, than in a trice,

having contemplated his next targetted plunge

is gone! spear shaping his miraculously plumed body,

he pierces the rivers undulating face

in a dart...

Cumulous and Co.

entry picture

See how they beautifully congregate

embracing each other

in white silence

vapourous cathedrals

softest of mountains

in a floating by landscape

an ethereal endless armada

of everchanging shapes

drifting en masse

without destinations

weightless wandering vessels

sailing on a dry azured ocean.

newborn,with our newborn companion,joy!

we thought a boy,who would never age

how he filled each days page for the soul, how he led the dance!

enhanced the early stage, with light and love

while above, dreams flew, waiting to be caught

In these blackening hours

goodbye the bikes

With your once heightened passion for speed

it was inevitable

that one day

you would be the man

who should have heeded

my warnings

and I will be the woman

I expected I would be

having to listen

to your leather clad friends

trying half heartedly

to sing hymns

trying to console me

with bullshit.

Something you were born in

that you can never leave

or pretend its not there at all.

An obligatory waiting

for a certain vehicle

that you will be made to board against your will.

I am not talking buses here

and I am not talking about any possibility

of a return journey.

They are required by nature

albeit in a dicing with death tumble

richochetting off jutting rocks

or preferably from high ledge to sea in one precarious plummet

After lighting a match

entry picture

Expectant opening of palms

lowered over the grate

as a little cheery smoky spiral ascends

to be scattered by icy winds.

From between kindle rafted logs

the ballet of flames begins.

Slowly the gaudy dancers

perform their combustible leapings and curlings

snaking around the dead wood

caressing it like witches fingers.

The crackling cacophony is under way

take to winging forth anew

His are not words expressing truth.

Not one of them will give away the devious way

in which their meanings are twisted.

He is not the actor who has no problem

Towards revelation

Now of mind

through time aligned

to respect and accept

the parallel of death

its dark irresistable breath

carrying our echoes into enigmatic spaces

unknown places where beliefs may end that once did infer

how foolishly we clung to myths and gods that never were.
