UNSEEN WATCHERS
Through night's still air, bones shriek,
Skeletal shadows are cast.
A prickling sense, silent dread descends.
All-seeing eyes watch from the dark.
I walk on papery petals,
Their decay's sweet scent, thick in the air.
A dark maw of raised ground appears,
Its inscription blurred to mystery.
The blackness shifts in misty breath,
My observer's presence, I believe.

MOONLIT HORROR
The moon hung high that night, full and bright.
Outside, frogs croaked, unaware of what was coming.
A cherry blossom brushed my windowpane
Colorful and proud beneath the hazy moon.
Its delicate petals seemed to mock the horror within.
She woke up screaming, sharp and shrill
Her face white, drenched in pure terror.
Her body seemed limp, dead and cold
