Get to Know Me

If you’re a poet prowling in penumbral light,

Staggering through shadows alone and lost,

Praying for a spiritual Sherpa to

Take you to atmospheric heights,

Or at least pull you from chasmic depths

And save you from the crushing pressure

Of self-loathing and free floating anxiety,

You should get to know me.

If your addictions are afflictions

You can no longer bear an...

Loved Like This

My mistakes

and all the painful memories,

they've changed the way I think,

changed what I believe.

And when I doubt,

when I think I'm all I need

when I hope the world can't see me,

there's safety in your voice

and a smile in your eyes.

How'd I wind up here?

With you by my side.

And when I can't explain,

when I lose my grip,

when I make excuses

The Knight's Stall

I had miles to go before I sleep
Endless bindings to break and keep;
Know a knight stops at nothing, but
Prairies and lakes for my horse to feed.

Through blizzards high and deserts dry
Rain that echoed of homesick cry,
I rode through them all
Yet, at the riverside I put up a stall.

On the edge of the river eternal,
You stood, evidence of the supernal,
Like a piece of star brig...

Those words we share

                and those we don't

The ones you use

                what do they mean?

So much is lost between the lines.

That inflexion or joy I might have heard

is mute

Those words we share

                and those we don't

The anger I feel in you

                what do your eyes show?

I can never know as I read the lines.

The thoug...

Rebirth

An open book she had been
In her mind remained nothing
Maybe he couldn't guess anything
When she kept secrets from him
The lost look in her eyes
The stolen smile on the curve of her lips
It's not a love long forgotten
It's a love rediscovered once again
The moment she allowed the shackles to break
And run wild head on into her dreams
Many wont understand but who cares anyway
It's her wo...

My

I see the opening of your mind's eye,

glittering like a starry sky.

Asking yourself, how high?

The iron will that says, I try.

Go my darling, you'll fly.

Full of joy, I cry.

The apple of your father's  eye.

Peace, love and understanding have left the building

Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen

They’ve really enjoyed playing here over the years

It has been a wonderful experience for one and all

but now it is my sad duty to announce that

peace,  love and understanding have left the building.

Peace,  she left by the back door

Her sullen face only lightened by the thought

that it cannot always be this way

Wandering around...

I would....

I would stand infront of your door,
at night, letting the soaring rain pour.
I would call your name over and over again,
until you open your eyes and remember the dreams we had.

I would whisper sweet things to you,
that's exactly what I used to do.
I would make you feel beautiful,
do you remember how I used to prove it to you?

I would come back home with flowers in my hand,
God I woul...
