My Thesaurus is an extension of my pen - but if the gremlin is on the warpath even that cannot always ward off the beastie. You may find a rhyme - but the meaning is not quite right or has wrong number of syllables - no wonder some folk use blank verse. But nil desperandum - enjoy the thrill of the chase I enjoyed your poem. XX

Ditto - mine is floppy, with brown-toned pages curled around the edges. A pristine new copy sits unused on the shelf, unfriendly like. A thesaurus becomes a treasured extension of your own mind.

Thanks very much for the comments.
The poem is dedicated to anyone who gets a word stolen by this beast.
But especially those who try to perform poetry from memory!
