I would like to add that for some years now I have been involved with a charity assisting people suffering with PTSD. Many of them have suffered silently for years, some even WW2 veterans who remained silent because they felt it was expected or because they dreaded being seen as weak.
To my mind to suffer in that manner is the opposite of the dignity which should be actively sought for those deserving of better.
That is why I will not shut up for the mere comfort of those who sniff at what they might deem to be weakness.

Proud unrepentant Veteran.

Thanks to those who have generously commented and liked.
It is for those who slip through the cracks and have no voice that this is written, those who cannot speak for themselves and no-one will ask after their welfare.
David.

Powerful stuff. Doesn't hang together completely, deliberately in my opinion.
David you've just raised the bar.
