I loved the way you have conjoined the dancing of leaves to the dancing of humans, Tim. I liked the idea of music direction by the wind. The lines,
"In the end I am tired and like my dancing leaves I fall to the ground.
We lay there watching and waiting for more of our dancing friends to join"
Are my favourite lines that are in reference to the Autumn season.
Thank you.

An autumnal poem indeed. It reminds me of a day at this time of year when I collected several fallen leaves which were soaked with rain. I took them home where they dried. The colours were remarkable and I pressed them in a book. I now have them framed and often look at them and think of those fallen dancing leaves and their hidden beauty.
Thank you for this,
Keith

I admired this poem Tim (to answer your question whether your musings are poetry - they most certainly are - words put to measure). Your beautiful poem put me in mind of Edgar Allan Poe's story 'The Masque of the Red Death' : Poe was a famous, hardcore dancer:
“And all my days are trances,
And all my nightly dreams
Are where thy dark eye glances,
And where thy footstep gleams--
In what ethereal dances,
By what eternal streams!”
― Edgar Allan Poe
