Who’s Next

From Mozart to Metallica,

and Brahms to Barry White,

the gamut of Britannica,

I change it round each night.

I close my eyes in ecstasy

when Slowhand plays guitar,

and Louis Armstrong’s legacy

just proves he was a star.

Young Elton too, he wasn’t bad,

and he could even sing,

but he was only just a lad

when Elvis was The King.

Sometimes I’ll fancy rock and roll

with Buddy, Chuck, and Fats,

but then I segue into soul

with all them Motown cats.

Tonight it might be Quo, or Pink,

perhaps the Rolling Stones,

or maybe chilled out with a drink,

enjoying the Ramones.

I don't mind getting comments
Don't wish to block them out
Like others that I know on here
(It's not what WOL's 'bout)

We're about sharing, caring and improving......

Your comment is most welcome
(It does not piss me off)
Nor skin (my own) get underneath
(Excuse me while I cough)

Yes Brian, he IS going to be the next big thing. I've taken over as his Manager......

Improvement suggestion, hope you don't mind...

Fourth line...insert 'big' between next and thing.

My little Billy just next door
Croons along like Bing
Although he's only 12 years old
He could be the next thing

Listen down the pipeline Brian
From your UK end
Hear his faint-like echoes
Elton he transcends

In my humble 'pinion
Watch out for our boy
Little Billy Whatsit
World's next Rocket Boy?
