For you.

entry picture

I would give you a sunbeam
caught tight in a jar,
take a butterfly net
and scoop down the stars.

I would bring you a dew drop
on a silk spider web,
take hold of the moon
and slow the sea's ebb.

I would bottle the silver
that lines my grey clouds
and paint you a rainbow
right down the ground.

I would find a sweet angel
to protect you at night
and bring a white unicorn
for just you to ride.

I would wrap you in cuddles
to be sure you keep warm
and find fairies to guide you
and keep you from harm.

I would do all these things
and lots more besides
if only you'll love me
and stay by my side.
