In association with the Royal Exchange Theatre, the Manchester Writing School at MMU will be presenting three special evenings of poetry and music hosted by Poet Laureate – Carol Ann Duffy.

On each of the evenings Carol Ann will be reading from her own work, as well as presenting some of the best of the country’s new emerging talent – among them students and graduates of the Manchester Writing School. Each evening will also feature a guest appearance from a poet of national stature.

On Monday, 12th April, the guest will be Jackie Kay with Rachel Mann, David Tait, and Clive McWilliam.

On Monday, 19th April, you can see Gillian Clarke, with Caroline Hawkridge, Gavin Hudson, and David Tait.

And on Monday, 17th May, Don Paterson will be there with David Borrott, Kim Moore, and David Tait.

All three events are to be held at The Studio at the Royal Exchange Theatre in St. Ann’s Square, Manchester; and all start at 7.30pm. Tickets are available at £9.50, £6.50, and £4.75, and the price includes £1 book token for the special Blackwell’s bookstall on the night.
