Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

One good turn deserves another

I'm walking down a Manchester street,

A man with a blanket and a bucket I do meet.

The bucket is full of loose change,

He lifts up the bucket outside the Range.

He shouts out ,"Spare change ,"in front of me,

I grabbed a handful and went to Greggs for my tea.

To return the favour I bought him an alsatian,

Much more money in his bucket ,quite a sensation.

His base was to be on a well known Manchester street,

He became a Big Issue  retailer with a dog at his feet.
