My golden years

entry picture

Yes it was pleasant and amazing!

How i was so careless and naive,

And just enjoying my age, my precious times.

My innocence that i dont have to defend.

I go where i want to, I eat and play all day long;

I climbed the mountains, play in the rain;

Build a house in the bush;

Watch my favorite noontime cartoon series at four.

Listen to my grandfather's folk stories on bed time,

And ghost stories on a stormy day.

Playing sailormoon with my sister and cousins,

And having picnic on sundays after church.

Play in the street with fellow kids.

Climbing the mulberry tree from my neighbors backyard.

Go on every house singing Christmass carols after dinner.

Being chased by my granny for being so naughty.

I reminisce those great moments,

I missed it so much.

I wanna go back in the past but it saddens me

That those childhood memories will never come back.

How i wish i never grew old.

I wish i never wished to become an adult.

Now i felt that time had stolen all those precious moments.

Stories tattooed in my heart forever.

Meya,

I have a time machine but it takes me into the future not the past

While you are just beginning your Saturday I have already lived through it on the other side of the planet.

While you are asleep and I am awake
I'm living the next day ahead
Predicting the future when you do wake up
A modern-day Who it be said....

"Stories tattooed in my heart forever."
So true, if we had the foresight to realise that in hindsight we would miss those exact moments as we lived them.
