You Found Your Way Home

You Found Your Way Home

In Memory of Max

I wasn’t surprised to hear you went home.

Your life was full of pain.

Suffered from lifelong hardships

I never heard you complain.

If anyone ever deserved

To finally be in peace.

Know that you were loved

You were a masterpiece.

I’ve known you most of my life.

One childhood friend to my mother

I grew up feeling closer to you

Then I found in any other.

The things I remember most.

Was your contagious laugh.

The way you make me giggle

You would do for my behalf.

My favorite thing about you.

Was a kindness that you had.

Never talked ill about anyone,

Your heart knew no bad.

Though I must say good-bye

I know this isn’t farewell.

Now you’re a heavens angel.

Watching over me as well.
