The Simple Ways

I adore the rustic old coffee shops,                            With mismatched plates & tea cups.                           The aroma of books and sweets,                               Soothed & enchanted with rainy days & loud thunderstorms.                                                                B&B's with porches,                                                        Wool blankets & rocking chairs,                                   Soothed with the Grandfather's clocks ticking of the hourly hand.                                                            Waking early to watch the sunrise,                            It's the simplest pleasures in this life that make it bitter sweet.                                                                     Life dosnt have to be complexed,                               To be beautiful and complete.

Hi Amanda - A homely, huggy piece. Its structuring adds to the enjoyment. Is, 'Waking up early to watch the sunset.' deliberate humour or a miss-type ??
Go well

Thank you so much for that Amanda. It hit the spot this morning. It waslike a ray of sunshine in an otherwise gloom-filled news room.

'Simple abundance' is what I call it. The little things that touch the heart and decorate the soul. More please.

P.S. You've inspired me to take my shoes off and walk bare feet in the garden.Catch you later!
