I forgive you because I want to.

Because I want to free myself from the bitterness and pain.

I forgive you because I want you feel forgiven unconditionally.

Forgiveness kills hate and with hate out of the way

Compassion takes over, wrapping us in a cloak of comfort.

Forgiving you makes me stronger.

It illuminates the imperfections within me.

It gives my love new meaning.

I forgive you because it liberates both of us.

And distils the very essence of our intimacy.

F**k the forgive and forget mantra.

Forgiveness is the simple act of transcending our egos.

Good one, Raj. A different kind of energy, well expressed. A great pleasure to read, several times. A real thought-provoker!

So, speaking of: IMO, there is no such animal as 'forgive and forget'. Forgiveness is a multi-faceted, conscious 'determination', but hardly ever 'truth'. And that which is forgiven is never forgotten.

I consider the 'power' assumed by the 'forgiver', conscious or not, quite a difficult idea to negotiate. You may be the exception.

Check: 'I want you 'to' feel forgiven......'? Yes? No?
