different windows

Beyond the door

behind your face

behind the wall

of paper paste

twisting hallways

many rooms

hidden secrets

broken rules

in this maze

thats all of you

are different windows

different views

in these views

you set the scene

the perfect moment

the perfect dream

behind the mask

the hidden you

masquerading

to all that view

in your mind

the film reel rolls

you set the action

in control

but deep within

your cellar space

in the mirror

reflects no face

and in your eyes

the myriads float

of shattered glass

of mirror broke

So clever Desmond. As said by Martin and Devon the rhythm and rhyme is excellent. I particularly like the tight two-beat line rhythm.....

Yes, great use of rhythm and rhyme. I particularly like the opening stanza - the "you" hiding behind the a thin mask. It ties in nicely with "masquerading" later in the poem. I get a sense in this poem that we are all "posers". Which is true, in a way.
