I Wish...

I Wish That...

I wish that I lived in a world where

Jelly fish wobbled on plates and tasted of strawberries,

Fish had fingers and could count to thirteen,

Sea potatoes grew up to be sea chips,

Seaweeds grew everywhere

And no one minded the plethora of Green.

Where the tide could rock and roll,

And Dover had soul.

I wish I lived in a world where

Pirates with perched parrots shopped at Aldi,

And mermaids and mermen drove trains,

Where Wales was full of Whales

And Dolphins swam in the rain.

Where everyone was on the cruise of a lifetime

And no one was ever lost at sea,

If you’re out there listening somewhere, God,

Can you please arrange this for me?
