Human misery
I’m an abject, because the helmsman of our homeland says so,
while into turbulent waters he leads us
I’m wicked, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
and without hesitation makes the ship tumble
and with an uncertain course will capsize it
I’m a scoundrel, because the helmsman of our homeland says it
while behind an alibi he shields himself
and when the truth comes out he never knows anything.
I’m despicable, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
and by pure whim his verb offends, humiliates, assaults
I’m a poor wretch, because the helmsman of our homeland wants so
and with contempt and indolence transgresses everything
I’m unworthy, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
while obfuscated by his judgement he also won't assent
and without explanations does not admit reasons
I’m a blighter, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
and sends his wolf-pack to whoever challenges him
I’m corrupt, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
and while he offends fiercely his cronies laugh
I’m vile, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
while with a haughty gesture he commands us to our knees and to be servile
I’m loathsome, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
while restricting rights and imposes sanctions
I’m sleazy, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
while turning power into abuse
sweeping away what is near or afar
I’m unpatriotic, because the helmsman of our homeland says so
while with empty speeches and crooked tales
mistreats and mimics with voracious malice and a forged smile
I am farce, because the helmsman of our country says so
while with anger and a pike sinks and betrays us
I am squalid, because the helmsman of our country says so
and with all his anger and bravado at the end
will leave nothing at all
Because the helmsman of my country says so; I am human misery,
a farce, a lie, unpatriotic and this said, with all falsehood,
claiming he is the owner of the almighty truth (...)

Note from the author:
My main interest, besides writing, has always been focused on my country and its people. I have no any kind of political tendency whatsoever and have never participated or been involved with any political party.
I have seen for decades how “politicians" and their partners systematically mocked the good faith of their citizens. These psudo-leaders, using flags of equality and freedom, took part and allowed my country, Venezuela, to be ripped-off and impoverished; they lied, cheated, stripped away our dreams and compromised the future of our country.
It is intolerable that, for not supporting an ideology or a certain political project or to a single line of thought, a majority of Venezuelans are pigeonholed and disqualified as human misery, unpatriotic, frauds or squalid.
That we all have to yield to a single line of thought or to see things as others want cannot be understood and must be rejected.
So much hatred, bitterness and discord that is being exuded cannot be tolerated or by any means be justified. This toxic environment affects millions of my fellow countrymen and I’m convinced that what I’m stating today, is what most of them feel and think.
One man does not have the right to decide for everyone else and doesn’t posses the absolute truth.
The freedom we intend to have is based on the diversity of thought, non censored freedom of speech, plural discussions and not violence, imposition or intimidation.
