Love and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

entry picture

Let me back, just a little.

I know you had to hide my picture in a drawer.

But it’s been two years now.

You can let me back a little.

Can’t you?

I know you’ve painted the kitchen pink.

That’s O.K.

I’m cool with that.

But maybe you could bear to look

at my favourite book

again.

“Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”.

You could give it go!

The only book I ever liked.

That and “Jonathan Livingstone Seagull” -

And you never liked that one either!

I want a copy of that book, really I do,I am going to look for it on fleabay ;-) I also read Jonathan Livingstone Seagull a long time ago, I had forgotten all about it, I seem to remember really enjoying it, it was a bit sad at the end I think, wonder what happened to it?.luv TC XX

It's funny but these were my other half's favourite books and tho I tried to read them i'm afraid I couldn't get on with either of them!

This poem is charming. Who could resist such a plea?
Ditto a 'Jonathan' lover; it's on a shelf beside my bed. I must get the Zen book mentioned here and have a look.

I thought this was really sweet. A lovely warm poem and it mentions two of my favourite books too (although I thought Zen and the... made me feel a bit inadequate....mainly cos I am sooo the person who would leave the tap dripping forever)
