A Little Touch of Heaven

A Little Touch of Heaven

They bring their priceless tokens

Of fondest love, for me –

A smile, a tear, a flower:

What greater gift could be?

I do not seek expensive,

Vast gifts, for all to see:

Those two young boys’ affection

Is worth the world to me!

Far greater is their giving:

What greater love could be? –

When, breathless, my two grandsons

Run, joyfully, to me….

Their little gifts are all they have –

And these are freely given:

And with such giving, I can see

A little glimpse of heaven.
