Everyone older sets the tone,

Except now, all of them are on their phones.

Completely distracted and unaware,

No more memories for them to share.

Where has our old values gone,

The same values that created such an indestructible bond.

I can’t watch this go on,

From a lonely sunset to a lonelier dawn.

Focus on what means the most,

Not on some stupid Instagram post.

Lose the phone and start conversation,

Or else, our phones will be laughing as we become their nation.
