Thursdays at the expensive cafe

The men are served hot chocolate

In a wide cup without a handle

They are offered a variety of baked goods

Inevitably choosing the chocolate chip cookie

The servers are thin, traditionally attractive

Female college students

Evoking feelings of melancholia and desire

while the gentleman at the register demands 15 dollars

Their shock at this price is so intermingled with their loneliness

That a strong feeling of vertigo overcomes them

They will happily separate themselves from their dollars

To extricate themselves from their emotional stupors

After a week of digital solitude

They’ll return the following Thursday

OMG This is brill.

Great use of non-rhyme!

Is that even a word?

I'll have a cup of that.

Nice work
