It is the warrior, not the poet, who gives us free speech.

It is life lessons, not the teacher, who continues to teach.

 

It is the believer, not the institution, that makes disciples.

It is the constitution, not the activists, that give us our rifles.

 

It is the internal drive, not motivational speakers, that gets us going.

It is the producer, not the rapper, that keeps the beat flowing.

 

It is the family, not the individual, that creates culture.

It is the mind, not the bird, that makes a vulture.

 

It is the reader, not the book, that interprets meaning.

It is the poet, not the warrior, that is continuously feigning.
