SELF DESTRUCTION

DOMINATION

Our world is consumed with self.

So much so, we have put others on a separate shelf.

We are constantly worried about our time.

We hardly ever ask if others are fine.

We grow with impatience waiting for food.

One simple mistake by a server puts us in a bad mood.

I have seen that many make sure to complain.

They want nothing more than to put others through pain.

I have observed men putting women down and roles reversed.

At the end of it all, winning an argument is what we all thirst.

We say words to family members that hurt more than bricks.

These words all stick in our heads like tall grass ticks.

Our pride will be our own worst enemy.

Sacrificing that will be our only remedy.
