Hair – like I care!

 

When you care about your hair

But you really love the earth

You start to try alternatives to chemicals

And for what it’s worth

I’m going to share the story

Of my own hair care journey

As a modern day Rapunzel

It’s really rather funny.

I have a lot of hair

And it was of some concern

That the products it was consuming

Made my conscience burn.

All those Parabenes and Silicon

Plastics by the ton

That I poured on my ungrateful hair

It wasn’t any fun.

So I started to investigate

 Some natural hair masks

I interrogated the internet

 Had some hippies I could ask.

And when I’d tried all manner

Of sticky icky foods on my mane

I discovered herbal shampoo bars

And now my life is changed.

No more plastic bottles

Full of noxious toxic gunk

I use gorgeous bars of goodness

I’ve waved goodbye to yet more junk.

Now my hair is thick and shinny

And my dustbin is quite trim

So why not give it a go yourself

It’s an eco war that we can win.
