LIVERpoetry progresses to The Pilgrim

entry picture

LIVERpoetry – the ’pool’s latest poetry evening – launched last month, now has a new permanent home.

From Wednesday, 10thFebruary the group will meet in the big upstairs room at The Pilgrim pub in the heart of Liverpool’s arts quarter. After that they will be meeting every 2ndWednesday.

And from now on the evenings will be themed, starting with ‘Sex and Love’! (please keep checking our gig guide for future themes). It’s not compulsory to have a themed poem on the night, but why not take along a sizzling sonnet or a Valentine villanelle and get in to the mood ready for Valentine’s Day?

All are welcome, whether to read or just to listen, at this friendly evening. Each poet gets a slot lasting a maximum of four and a half minutes, with a chance to read again later in the evening, time permitting.

The evening starts at 8pm, and The Pilgrim pub is on Pilgrim Street, Liverpool L1 9HB. Further details are available from Ieuan Cilgwri on 07522 491099, or Steve Regan on 07764 615069, and on the gig guide.
