A River Runs through the Red Shed

The former Derbyshire Poet Laureate – River Wolton, will be the special guest at Red Shed Readings on Thursday, 4thFebruary. The winner in 2004 of the Red Pepper Poetry Competition, and in 2008 of the Chroma Queer Writing Competition, River Wolton was described by Tribune as writing about “the big subjects – life, love, death – in a gloriously easy and accessible style.”

Supporting River, will be last year’s Red Shed Poetry Competition - Julie Mellor, and Portobello Polish folk prodigies Conrad, Adam and Patrick. And there will also be the usual open-mic and competitions.
