How Much Longer

How much longer do I have here
In the name of love
The road is stone cold
I've been bashing my knees on
Grey skies and blood moons

Sapphire blue eyes in my nightmares
They fade from existence
A bottle of liquor can change your life forever
Who would think biennium and a whole lot of bad decisions
Has left me here believing in nothing good

How much longer do I have here
Until my mind crumbles from the pressure
The road is stone cold
I've been bashing my knees on
Grey skies and blood moons

Sapphire blue eyes in my nightmares
Doesn't believe in the words I've been saying
Slitting my throat would be easier than moving on
There's a memory that doesn't forgive
It doesn't forgive my childish behavior

So pour me a cup of the hardest liquor you have
So I can forget what I have not done yet
I'm retiring to the blood vessels popping in my mind
So take me home where the undercity glows

You are continuing on a strong series of poems. I hope your struggles end in a contentment you so richly deserve.

Another strong poem and the repetition is very well done.
