RETROSPECTIVE

Over the years I think I’ve changed

I’m a bit more manic, a bit more deranged

I’m a bit more lonely and a bit more sad

For the nights and the days that I’ve never had

I’m a bit more distanced, a bit more scared

A bit more worldly and a bit more aware

I’m a bit more uncertain, a bit less “full on”

A bit more a “moron,” a bit less good fun

I’m a bit more wary of friends just like you

Of the damage and pain a friendship can do

I’m a bit more uncertain, a bit more bemused

A bit more doubtful, unclear and obtuse

So don’t screw with my head and get in my mind

‘Cos you don’t want to know the secrets you’ll find

◄ ALL THESE THINGS I KNOW

THE WAGER ►

I guess you're just older and wiser! ;-) xx (I can identify with bits of this - not the last three verses/bits though.)

I can't sing...I ain't pretty, and my legs are thin.

Tough confessional stuff. I like the aura of the fedora.

hi Nells-with respect to you,you forgot to mention something else you are-honest,my friend. As i said recently to another gent on here, and the wording is not meant to be jocular, but to me has a deeper significance-keep your biscuits dry,and flowers to hand-and the world will turn,ASAP i hope for you.or in more stronger terms-don,t let the b******s get to you! sincere regards friend-Stefan
