Album Release From Unusual Contemporary Poetry and Piano Duo

entry picture

On Friday November 9th 2018, Testing the Delicates will be released worldwide on digital platforms, the first album by Fall in Green, an unusual music act of contemporary poetry combined with classical piano, and a scattering of other instruments.

The duo from Cheshire are Mark Sheeky, pianist, artist, polymath, and Deborah Edgeley, poet, performance artist, and Editor-in-Chief for literature collective Ink Pantry Publishing. Fall in Green first began performing in the summer of 2017, and typically perform in libraries and art venues.

Testing the Delicates began as a poetry collection written by Deborah to raise awareness of mental health stigma and personal experiences of home caring. The album is the culmination of several live performances throughout Cheshire which combine theatrical spoken word with piano and sound effects.

The unusual combination of words and music, and inventive production values, were inspired by the experiences of album producer Mark Sheeky, as producer and host of experimental arts programmes which demanded new creative work for each episode. Community radio show ArtsLab, and now ArtSwarm for YouTube, both air newly made sound and video art in each episode.

You can watch and listen to Fall in Green on their YouTube channel here, or find out more information on Testing the Delicates here.
