today i felt the wind blowing against my flesh

i looked up at the sky

as i noticed a sprinkle of rain had landed

on my lens

 

i couldn't remember that last time i looked up at the sky

so i made sure to soak in the beauty of today's gloomy day

 

i felt a little more alive today

today i felt the concrete underneath my feet 

as i walked across campus

 

today i felt present 

for the first time

in a long time...
