that’s a funny phrase 

when you think about 

how much of everything 

we do isn’t much helping 

 

anything grow naturally 

lying is hard work 

and leads to other 

health issues 

 

conditions masked

and unmasked

by pharmaceuticals 

and psychotherapy 

 

sometimes thinking too much 

can send you back to bed 

selective compassion

rescues us on most days
