A sad wish

A couple in their early  60's were celebrating 38 years of married bliss.

A fairy appeared and looked upon it as an opportunity she could not  miss.

"As you have been faithful and loving to each other for so many years I will grant you each a wish."

The wife said"To travel round the world on a luxury cruise liner would be delish"

The fairy waved her magic wand and two tickets to travel came her way.

"I'm so sorry dear, a  wish to have a wife 30 years younger  for me would be okay."

The husband thought,"This was a chance in a lifetime for me."

The fairy waved her magic wand and the husband became ninety-three.!

The wife took him on the cruise in his wheel chair,

He had no teeth and had lost all his hair.

Crazy I was just listening to a song today that reminds me a lot of this. A fan had written to a music artist to see if the artist would perform a poem the fan's grandfather had written when he lost his wife, and the song came out a lot like the first half of this. The song is sad with a twinge of irony, and this is worth the read.?
