I am a Genius.. No, I am a Genius.. Nurture Vs Nature

                                                  GENIUS

(Nurture)

Blood, sweat and tears created this genius

Overcoming fears helped to mould this genius

Mental conditioning has formed this genius

And you have the audacity to say “it is born within us”

I never got to sing, I never got to play

Head slammed in a book ten hours a day

No love reward, no time to be happy

Brainwashed since the days of the nappy

Parents believing they were doing it right

Now social activity gives me a fright

Born with a gift? You make me sick

A pain in my soul, anaesthetic

Work plan, study plan, even have a game plan

And you think I am lucky, you do not understand

I have learnt with ferocity all of my life

Relationships impossible, trouble and strife

I cannot interact, intellect slave

Scientific progress is what I crave

Splitting of atoms, global warming

Biological fact, psychological brain storming

I was not born with this

It is not a calling

(Nature)

Blood, sweat and tears you mention

Illuminates your knowledge. One direction

As humans go I am a flawless specimen

Inherently pure, the finest amphetamine.

Neurons unconsciously progress, retain

and process data, inconceivable brain

Born with a gift like father and mother

Psychologist theories still try to uncover

And comprehend how genetics are working

As debate against their own study keeps lurking

If a man is gifted with intellectual skill

I cannot comprehend how he should be repressed

He should only need a good work ethic

This is the notion that Galton suggests

My family before me have dined like kings

Another genius our hereditary brings

An unfortunate child that is born to a maid

Should be handed a mop, bucket and spade

It will not have the standing to converse with the best

few have tried, we were not impressed

so be gone with your self-taught genius schema

at best you are a low level inbetweener.

Like Jane and Kate said - definitely deserves a second reading to digest all the little details so minute and well-crafted. Great job on this.?
