Fake

You painted yourself as a soulmate

and fantasised these dates

I filled your cup with love and appreciation

Yet I was treating my cup irresponsibly

And you caused me to feel nothing but frustration

As you spoke to me impolitely

You played my mind with games

And toyed with my emotions

What were you trying to aim?

I cared about you with selfless devotion

Many nights I dressed to impress you

But you never showed

Along the way you had lost your glow

You made up excuses

And gave me nothing but bruises

I took your blames

And your anger grew in flames

I looked in the mirror

And everything became clearer

You were miming me

And I was nothing more but a show

The last two lines sum it all up nicely. Sadly some people seem to be like that.A great poem Rebecca
