Gosh, I can relate to this. Headphones when pulling weeds is the only way to be distracted from jolly poetry.
Lines and lines go round my head
Driving me insane
Only thing that stops these lines
Are headphones to my brain (-)

no amount of music will stop my thoughts - I can have it playing in the car or wherever but if my brain is that active I will barely register a single note or word!
