Even through stillness

like a wall between us

I felt the rhythmic

heaving of your body,

and like my first born

I knew your cry...

How many sounds

I counted five:

Pain

Fear

Anger

Sorrow

and one I had yet to come to know...

◄ things that become me

I'll take that, Ray--what more could I aspire to?

Thanks, fella.

Really moving and simple Rachel. There is always a depth to your work that gives it substance.

I absolutely love this Rachel, not least in its simplicity but also in what it says. The listing off of emotions in terms of crying is great
Love it

Hi David,

It is so hard to witness the grief of a loved one, knowing there's little or nothing you can do to relieve them.

Good to hear from you and hope you're keeping well--and you too, Colin.

Rachel
