Write Out Loud Woking is moving - to Woking!

entry picture

Write Out Loud Woking is moving its venue – to Woking. The only Write Out Loud night in the south has spent its first two years at the New Inn at the village of Send, just outside Woking. It is now moving to the Lightbox art gallery in the centre of Woking, with its first night there on Thursday 21 June, starting at 8pm.

Co-compere Greg Freeman said: “We’ve had two great years at the New Inn, and we’d like to thank landlord Mark and his team for being so welcoming to us. But we’ve always hoped to find a venue in Woking itself, which would be accessible by public transport. We talked to the Lightbox when we appeared there in April as part of their literary festival, and they said they would be happy to host us. We’re rather excited about appearing at such a prestigious arts venue. There’s been a Picasso exhibition there for the last two months!”

Write Out Loud Woking is also moving from the third Monday of the month, to the third Thursday of the month. Full details here
