Two college students shop to find some beverages to fill their apartment fridge for the next week,

The man and his wife are showing their daughter a crab and a habitat, planning to surprise her for her ninth birthday,

The father of two daughters decides to buy a dream tent, so they can have sweet dreams at night,

The husband is finding a Valentine’s Day card for his wife,

The boyfriend is finding a Valentine’s Day chocolate box for his girlfriend,

 

The employee organizes misplaced items in their right places,

The young woman and her husband are browsing at books; almost time to go to Nana’s house,

(Their daughter not wanting to leave just yet,)

The purple-haired woman and her boyfriend are in the cosmetics section, talking about their day at their apartment,

The woman and her pink-haired girlfriend are walking together in the self-checkout, scanning items of plus-size clothing and hair dye,

The young woman is finding the right shampoo and conditioner to make her hair soft and shiny,

The small girl searches for the amiibo she does not have; her father is concerned that the item is not there,

The child screams from the top of their lungs that you can hear from across the store,

The young adult is looking for the right phone charger that will last longer,

(Since her recent charger broke;)

The single father carries his daughter into the store to shop for fruits,

The greeter is welcoming customers as they enter the store, making sure the customers exiting have the items they bought in their cart on the receipts,

The young couple decides to buy their baby daughter a large caterpillar plush,

(The size difference!)

The teenager with a big pink bow in her hair carries a cake for a birthday,

The sophomore college students are walking out with bean bag chairs for their dorms,

The wife with her right arm broken is laughing with her husband on the way to the car,

 

The carpenter is on the search for the right color paint for his family’s living room or bathroom,

The groups of people are waiting in the freezing cold for their right bus,

(Bundled but not too close to strangers;)

The sun sets, and the country of Dekalb turns into darkness,

The men and women drive home for their time, the students drive to the dorms for their time,

And they interact toward me, and I interact towards them,

And I am no more or less than they are,

And of these thoughts of one and all I sleep to end the day.
