Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Two of Yorkshire’s Greatest

You both made us all feel loved, both made us feel important, both welcomed us with open arms even if we had been naughty.

Grandma you were always there to listen,

You’d always hold us if we were crying,

But if we ever crossed the line a slipper would come flying.

Grandad you’d never fail to make us smile,

You’d make us laugh so much we’d cry,

And taught us all when buying tissues to always buy 3 ply.

Grandma you never failed to spoil us,

Always made us feel our best,

And when we would sleep over, kiss our head, goodnight, God bless.

Grandad you were always there to help us out,

Take us wherever we needed to go,

Shouting ‘piss off mr bus, you’re going far too slow’

What you gave us can never be repaid in full,

So much love and time and laughter,

And the blessing of knowing you’re together above in your happy ever after.

For everything we thank you both,

And live on with the honour of being related,

To two of Yorkshire’s finest, two of Yorkshire’s greatest.
