Silhouettes

Shadows lurkin' in the dark
Mingling, dwindling, taking new forms
As if like mist they've risen suddenly
Clear, murky or grotesque figures
Each shadow has its own story
First there's a tall girl caressing her child
Though it's shadow I can feel her smile
It evanesces gradually to take a new form
A toddler chuckling, chased by its mom
Next I see the child grow tall
And a labouring mother wrapped in a shawl
Here comes a man solacing an old lady
A gesture of farewell; his flight is ready
Hark! what sees eye now, is not clear
Is it the mingling shadows, the mist or tears?
Ah! it's a tombstone covered with flowers
A shadow kneels down and cries for hours.

As Colin says an interesting idea. I can see where you are coming from with this . It is almost like looking at clouds and identifying all sorts of interesting shapes
