Dear Sadness,

Dear Sadness,

you,

without words,

without answers,

within me

for dear life.

To toil,

to turn,

to twist

my inner most being.

One day,

I will come to you

and force you

to give back all that you have taken!

I will make you drown in the tears you have caused.

I will make you forfeit reason to fight.

I will not answer you.

I will leave you.

I will make you empty!

Thank you Martin. I appreciate you taking the time to comment on my poem and I'm glad that you found it to be about determination, rather than futility.
