EASY STREET
Why are the roads
jammed at 2 PM
Why are the stores
crammed at 3 PM
Cuz
Nobody works
But
Everybody buys stuff
Is money growing on trees
if so please
tell me where
I seem to be the last in line
unable to find
easy street
Is it on a map
if so please
tell me where it's at
Do I need to shop at
midnight
to avoid the crowd
Where do these people work
am I just a jerk
toiling away
to make money each day
when others have found
the hidden treasure
It would be a pleasure
to be on the list
with those who live in bliss
The ones that are on the roads at 2 PM
and in the stores at 3 PM

LOL My friend always complains about the roads and stores being crowded mid day. He's going to put this poem on his grave site. The other was an assignment about money from a book my son gave me for daily poems.
