Goodbye

Candles lit,

Flickering and illuminating,

The grief heavy room.

Such grace she had,

Lying still.

Cold.

Motionless.

...Until it was too late.

What shame,

She had so much to live for.

A shame,

They didn't know the troubles,

That lie beneath.

Goodbye.

In shaky letters,

Written by tired hands.

Her last note said.

A glass near by,

No longer fully empty.

Reflects the pain,

Held in the mothers eyes.
